about us
For generations our family has worked in India's jute industry. Jute is a sustainable plant fiber grown along coastal waters. Traditionally, jute’s natural strength has made it an ideal ingredient for twine, burlap and more.  Over the years the biodegradable properties of jute have made it a prime focus for new applications in everything from landscaping, tiles, imitation silk threads and more.

With our long standing roots in jute, it seemed only fitting that it serve as the primary ingredient for most of our bags.  The natural qualities of this fiber have an earthy feel that gives each of our bags a unique color and finish. 

making a difference
1 Billion! That’s right, nearly 1 billion plastic bags are used and disposed each year in the United States. These bags clog our landfills and litter our seashores; causing harm to the environment and our coastal wildlife. We can all make a difference by simply choosing to replace harmful single use plastic bags with reusable, earth-friendly bags.

giving back
bring it in a bag is committed to giving back to the community. In order to support the economic development of India and the ongoing green movement, a portion from each bag sold will be donated to the communities we live in. This year we have chosen to donate to EarthShare and AIM for Seva. The first organization, EarthShare, works with various organizations and programs who support the development of more sustainable and healthy environments across the USA. The second organization, AIM for Seva, provides less fortunate socieities in India with education, proper health care, empowerment, training, and relief. Both of these organizations follow our vision to help support and improve communities in the US and in India.

staying green
bring it in a bag is an environmentally conscious company. We do everything we can to package products in recycled plastic or post consumer boxes. We ask that you please recycle any packaging you receive from us. If each if us does our part, together we can make an impact.
